Mugs' Review - Hawkers, West Coast IIPA
Pale golden body, slight haze, firm white head.
Punchy hop aroma - pine, passionfruit, guava, grapefruit, touch of stonefruit with notes of toast and biscuit malt.
Big body; chewy, resiny, slightly sticky, slick with just enough booze and bitterness to keep things in check.
Good malt base of sweet pale caramel and biscuit lay the ground work for those big resiny, woody, leafy hops, notes of bitter orange and tropicals in the mix with a firm bitterness and long lingering finish.
Absolute master-class - sublime balance with so much flavour packed in there.
375ml Can, 9% ABV
