Mugs' Review - Old Wives Ales, Tropical Overlord - Imperial Sour

440ml can, 8.3% ABV, pkg 06/11/20

Pours like a mango smoothie - thick opaque peach orange colour with the odd clump and a firm white cream head.

Ripe tropical fruits on the nose; paw paw, papaya, pineapple, mango - smoothie like again with a touch of yoghurty funk. Body is smooth, rounded, rather thick, sort of creamy and unfiltered, low carbonation, touch of tartness, and booze as it warms.

Tropical fruit salad vibes in the palate - pineapple, rockmelon, papaya, passionfruit, mango - reasonably sweet throughout, touch of yoghurt lactic funk brings a zing of acidity that brightens it up, very low bitterness, slight warmth from booze emerges in the finish.

Like a fruit smoothie, but it's boozy, and it's a beer!
